Race for the Cure

I participated in the Race for the Cure this year to walk in support of My Aunt Phyllis. A wonderful women who has become a huge part of my life since my Mom died. My neighbor and good friend Kris walked with me. Kris was walking in support of her Mom. The Denver Race is the largest in the nation. This year more the 64,000 participated. It took us a 1/2 hr to just to walk to the starting line and another hour & half to finish the 3 mile walk. We were walking in the middle of the all those peoples. We couldn't see the beginning and we couldn't see the end. If you check out the photo on the right there are people on the bridge and walking in front of us. It was an amazing experience that I can't seem to find the right words to describe. With your help I was able to raise over $600 and the entire Denver Race raised 2.4 million dollars! I would like to send a very special thank you for all those who made contributions. The shirt I'm wearing is from Shad's cousin Nicole. She is the founder of Charity Tees. Nicole started Charity Tees in memory of her mother, MaryKay. Nicole is an inspiration to us all. Check out her website at www.charitytees.com.
Thank you!

HALLOWEEN

We had the best weather last night for trick or treating. No mittens and hats! It was about 60 deg. It just didn't seem like Halloween without the cold weather. The kids had a blast. Drew was a dragon and Luke was a Clone Trooper. We went trick or treating with our neighbors Kris & Little Vern and Bobbie and Brynn. It just so happens that Little Vern was a Clone Trooper too. Brynn was the cutest little Minnie Mouse. Drew got the hang of trick or treating pretty quick. By the 3rd house he was the one knocking on the doors. Too bad he's not getting any of the candy.
